The last report of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador cost 13 million 245 thousand 668 pesos, according to information provided by the Presidency of the Republic under the government of Claudia Sheinbaum. This cost exceeds that of some concerts held at the same venue, such as Rosalía's, which had an expenditure of 6 million 75 thousand 460 pesos by the CDMX government, and the concert of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs for which Ocesa charged 4 million 399 thousand 200 pesos. Even when these two events are combined, AMLO's report turned out to be more expensive, according to the text by Gustavo Sánchez from La Lista.
In a request for information made by La-Lista.com, the Presidency informed that during the last report, López Obrador asked those present about the judicial reform by raising their hands, and the majority showed their support. This reform was later approved in Congress and published by the Executive on September 15, accompanied at that time by the then-elected president, Claudia Sheinbaum.
On September 1, 2024, a festive and nostalgic atmosphere was experienced at the Zócalo during what could be one of López Obrador's last public appearances, as since handing over the presidential sash, he had not had public events. The event was attended by thousands of people from all over the country, including the then-elected president, Claudia Sheinbaum, governors from Morena, and the former president's family.
It is worth noting that, despite the high cost of AMLO's report, it was lower compared to what the government of Claudia Sheinbaum paid for the concert of Los Tigres del Norte, which, according to transparency data, had a cost of 23 million 86 thousand 795 pesos.
